Rebekah Plueckhahn has researched and worked in Mongolia since 2006 and completed her PhD at the Australian National University in 2013. Having trained in anthropology and ethnomusicology, Rebekah’s doctoral research drew from ethnography conducted in western Mongolia’s Hovd Province on performance, music, value, and perceptions of the future. Since 2014, she has been working as a Research Associate at UCL Anthropology, conducting research in Ulaanbaatar on experiences of Mongolia’s economic flux, changing ownership regimes and the shaping of urban forms.
